Objective:	Students will be able to analyze how particular lines of dialogue or incidents in a story propel the action, reveal aspects of a character, or provoke a decision. Students will also be able to determine the meaning of words and phrases, and analyze the impact of specific word choices on meaning and tone,
Warm-Up:	Descriptive Language Warm Up - Fictional Narrative	Standards Addressed: RL.8.1 and RL.8.4.
Classwork:	Students will finish the Elements of Memoir Identification Chart from yesterday. Students will complete their reading assessment for The Great Rat Hunt by answering text-dependent questions	Standards Addressed: RL.8.1 RL.8.3. and RL.8.4.
